Saloon Girl Zombie for Halloween

Here is my drawing idea...

I found all the fabrics at Hobby Lobby, the satin was $2.99, and don't forget to use the 40% off coupons they have online. There is no better cheap satin around, trust me, I've looked.

The striped fabric on the left is what I'm thinking to make the bloomers out of, and to also trim the edges of the petticoat, which is the neon green tulle.

I love the look of the trims I got there, but I don't think I'll have enough of the black to work with, so I will have to find another way to make the black.

Nails

Got a couple pics to share.

The first is Essie Thigh High

And a great sparkly China Glaze Nova

Resizing a shirt is no fun

I so don't have the sewing mojo right now, but I decided to push through and re-do a shirt that had gotten to big.

I traced off a new Ottobre pattern from the 2-2007 issue in a size 42 this time. Originally I was using a 46 with a pretty decent FBA to cover the boobs and belly. This time I used the 42 straight out, but did add just a smidge at the waist area as I still have a belly to deal with.

Ugh, ripping out the coverstitches didn't go as nicely as I would have liked. And the photo below is pretty dark, but it will suffice. Here's the finished product and also a pic of it as my high weight, not a good photo though, it was from a KC Pinhead fitting party.

Simplicity 4074

Here's the link to Simplicity 4074 and a photo of the top I just made.

Can I just say

I LOVE IT!!!

I had made the faux cross-over version already, so I was aware of fitting. I still need to take a pic of the other one and post it.

I'm going to review on Pattern Review once I'm done posting here.

This is going to become a TNT pattern. I just need to work out a few minor kinks.

And I also have a super duper awesome nail polish to share. This is OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow from the new Espana Collection. It looks almost black, but it has a touch of dark green in it. Did I say AWESOME already?
